’26 Treasures The Book’ Launch at the Ulster Museum

June 13, 2012

To celebrate the launch of the book 26 Treasures by John Simmons, an evening of readings and conversations was held at the Ulster Museum. Six local contributors revealed how they each discovered something personal about their treasure.

26 Treasures by John Simmons is a new anthology containing a collection of personal and emotive responses to treasures from four different national musuems – the V&A in London, the National Library of Wales, the Ulster Museum and the National Museum of Scotland.

Mark was one of the visual artist contributors in the 26 Treasures exhibition in the Ulster Museum in October 2011 and his response to the mummy Takabuti and her coffin is featured in the book.

The 2nd edition of the book (published by Faber) will be available in bookshops from 18th September 2012, however advance copies of the book are available from Unbound Books:
